Ale Mary’s is located in the historic Bittenbender Building, which has been part of the fabric of Downtown Scranton since the 1800s. Founded in 2014 by proud Scrantonians who have a deep love for the area and its people, we offer a modern and relaxed environment for our patrons. Ale Mary’s features a rotating selection of nearly 100 craft and import beers to be paired withour gastropub cuisine. Our hallmark interior has 2 bar areas with 20 rotating draft options of craft and domestic beers, along with designated dine in areas for those looking for a relaxed dinner experience, a quick bite with friends, or up close and personal seating during our weekend entertainment.
Booking Information
All events with 20-50 guests require a $100 deposit to secure your date. Events with 50+ guests require a $200 deposit. This non-refundable deposit may be made by cash or credit only and will be applied to the final cost of your event. We do not accept personal checks at any time. Upon booking, a standard event contract form will be emailed to you, and is required to be returned prior to your event. If no deposit and/or contract is received by 2 full weeks prior to your event, your reservation will be cancelled and your group will be unable to be accommodated. A headcount must be provided to us no less than one full week prior to your event in order for us to have the proper amount of food prepared.
All event planning will be done via email for documentation purposes. To begin the booking process, please fill out an event request form.

The Scranton Soiree
This cuisine plan includes your choice of one salad, one protein, one starch or pasta, seasonal vegetable, and fresh dinner rolls served in a buffet setting.
Salad selections: House or Caesar
Starch/Pasta selections: Mac & Cheese, Cheese Tortellini Marinara, Garlic Herb Smashed Potatoes
Protein selections: Chicken Amore[chicken breast stuffed with cheese, roasted peppers, & spinach], Chicken Parmesan, Beef Tenderloin, Eggplant Parmesan
Pricing: $15.95/person; $24.95/person with domestic drafts, house wines, and well mixers included for 2 hours. Tax and gratuity not included.

Alcohol Service
Please be advised prior to booking that, due to PA state liquor laws, alcohol service is unavailable to groups that plan to have underage guests. This rule does not apply to children 12 and under who are properly supervised by an adult (an individual aged 25+).
Alcohol service refers to service provided by a server. There is not a bar located directly in the Franklin Room. Wristbands that will allow guests to visit the main bars at their leisure are available upon request.
Domestic drafts are Coors Light, Miller Lite, Bud Light, and Yuengling Lager. House wines are Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Well liquors are vodka, gin, tequila, white rum, and blended whiskey.
Alterations to listed alcohol services are unavailable. Any beverages ordered that are not included must be paid for by either the guest or the host. PA state liquor laws deny our ability to discount prices on alcohol.
The Bittenbender Standard
This cuisine plan includes your choice of one salad, two sandwiches, and one starch or pasta served in a buffet setting.
Salad selections: House or Caesar
Sandwich selections: Turkey BLT, Caprese, Chicken Salad, or Roast Beef
Starch/Pasta selections: Mac & Cheese, Cheese Tortellini Marinara, Garlic Herb Smashed Potatoes
Pricing: $12.95/person; $21.95/person with domestic drafts, house wines, and well mixers included for 2 hours. Tax and gratuity not included.

The Happy Hour
